Windows Application Development
Implicit has been developing custom software for Microsoft Windows since 1993. We have developed a
long and diversified list of Windows-based products at all levels from applications to system services
and device drivers for specialized hardware and networking devices. Our developers are experts in
Windows-based development frameworks and APIs such as: Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows
Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Forms, Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC), Active/ Standard
Template Libraries (ATL/STL), Win 32 API, Graphics/Video libraries: DirectX / DirectShow, Drivers
Developers Kit (DDK) and Windows Driver Model (WDM).
WPF Applications and Windows Forms
Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) is a new and exciting platform for building next
generation Windows applications. As a graphical subsystem in .NET Framework 3.5, WPF is the new
platform of choice for Windows applications that require audio and video support, 2D/3D vector graphics,
animations, visualization and highly dynamic and interactive user experience.
WPF is interoperable and can be used together with Windows Forms and MFC, making it easier to migrate
existing applications to the new technology.
WPF and in conjunction with Silverlight (which is a subset of WPF) offer a huge advantage to companies
developing new products: the same source code (with slight adjustments) can be used for both platforms
generating applications that can run anywhere inside a browser or as desktop applications
